New chief of Western national forest: No hurry on roads plan

Roads are bad - bad for terrestrial wildlife, bad for migratory birds, bad for trout streams, and bad for the atmosphere of the only planet we've got. The new boss of the Walowa-Whitman NF could set a great example by moving ahead now - right now - on closing roads on that national forest.
